CrownGames CD-ROM

This CD-ROM contained an opening MPEG video stream leading to a menu structure.

At the initiation of the CD-ROM the users machine is checked for a suitable version of Windows Media Player to support the MPEG stream. If no suitable player is found the users platform is found (Windows 95, 98, 98SE, 98me, NT4, Win200, WinXP) and offers to install the appropriate Windows Media Player software. On completion of the installation the user is returned to the start of the CD-ROM to view the MPEG stream.

The menu structure allows the user to email, visit the CrownGames website, load a selection of games software, install the latest Internet Explorer browser software, or visit the CrownGames assistance screen on their website.

Additional version (May 2002) ......
A further version of the product has been developed as a multilingual version, incorporating English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese. This version has the three language versions of the games software, plus links to language specific pages on the CrownGames website, as well as the language specific Windows Media Player installers.

Updated version (December 2002) .....
The CD-ROM was given a facelift (Clubroom) with new graphics and new opening video sequence. New and updated games software were also included for all three language sets - English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese.
